The Perfect Morning Smoothie- Coffee and Chocolate

Coffee, the perfect morning staple right? If you’re like me, you need a cup of coffee every morning to get the day started. And personally, I really love the taste of real coffee. So many people add a ton to their coffee before they drink it, and if that’s you, the more power to you. But I love my coffee straight up, strong and almost black, usually just a drop of almond milk in it. The more “coffee” tasting the better.
Now you know, I rush out the door in the morning just about every day. I’m not too much of a morning person, and this is not the first time I’ve told you that I don’t give myself enough time. What are two things I always make sure I do in the morning? Drink coffee, and eat breakfast. When I realized I could combine the two, the rest was history. This smoothies is totally filling with the nut butter and the banana, but the creamy coffee taste is just divine. Combining your morning eats with your morning drinks is perfection. Enjoy my friends.
- One frozen banana
- 1/2 cup strong coffee
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
- 2 tbsps peanut butter
- 3-4 ice cubes
- Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth.
